Orchids and Oil Lamp

Design by Mark Waterbury
A 24"x 32" rectangular still life panel showing a slender, orchid-filled stalk rising from an amber crock that sits next to an old-fashioned oil lamp. The orchids’ candy-yellow centers and petal shadows disappear and reappear by combining DyMax™ adhesive and Spectrum glass. This project is constructed with copper foil, but lead came could also be used. The pattern in this issue can be enlarged, or full-sized pattern #73 may be purchased from Glass Patterns Quarterly.
